March 11, known affectionately as “311 Day,” holds special significance for fans of the rap-rock band 311. This year, the band is set to make the occasion particularly memorable with a slew of announcements centered around the 30th anniversary reissue of their self-titled album, commonly referred to as the Blue Album. As fans celebrate, they can look forward to a range of nostalgic activities, merchandise, and music encapsulating the spirit of the band’s influential career.

The Blue Album, originally released in 1995, helped cement 311’s place in music history, thanks largely to hits such as “Down” and “All Mixed Up.” Set to release on July 11, the reissue will be available in two exclusive vinyl variants: a citrine-shaded edition and a blue smoke-colored version. This marks a poignant revival for collectors and new fans alike, boasting the addition of seven bonus tracks previously unreleased on vinyl, all encased within an embossed gatefold sleeve with “pearlized” artwork.

Coinciding with the reissue, 311 has reinvigorated their merchandise offerings with “All Mixed Up Records,” a ’90s merch capsule that revives classic designs from the band’s early years. To the delight of many, this merchandise drop includes exclusive items that were first introduced during the “Blue Album” era, marking a nostalgic nod to their early days. Fans eager to purchase these items are encouraged to explore the re-imagined online portal at blue.311.com, which draws inspiration from a 1990s record store aesthetic designed to enhance the nostalgic experience.

As part of the 311 Day celebrations, the rap-rockers will also make available the latest installment of their docuseries, Enlarged to Show Detail III, providing an inside look into the band’s journey. This documentary is presented as a love letter to their fiercely loyal fan base, adding an archival flavor with fan interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the band's much-loved Caribbean cruise. The title will be accessible via YouTube and available for viewing during upcoming 311-themed cruises.

In addition, 311 enthusiasts can look forward to the return of the band’s famous “Unity Tour” this summer. The comprehensive details, including the lineup and tour dates, will be officially announced on March 18. The band has also received a commendable accolade with the RIAA certification of their single “All Mixed Up” reaching platinum status, symbolizing over one million units sold—a testament to 311’s lasting impact in the music world. Furthermore, in a charitable gesture, the proceeds from the sales of a limited edition Warped Tour poster on this day will be directed towards MusiCares, supporting musicians in times of trouble.

311 Day spans far beyond a mere celebration for the band. It champions the bond between the group and their fans, rejuvenating past memories while creating new experiences with innovative releases and engaging fan-centric events. As the band looks back on its illustrious past, it simultaneously paves the way for future adventures, once again proving that 311’s blend of rock, rap, and reggae continues to reverberate in the hearts of many.
