2025 Stray Cats Tour Announced

Grand,Rapids,,Michigan,/,Usa,-,August,15,,2019:,Stray

The Stray Cats, an iconic band renowned for their vibrant rockabilly tunes, are geared to ignite stages across America once more with their 2024 summer tour. The tour reunites the original trio—Brian Setzer on guitar and vocals, Lee Rocker on the upright bass and vocals, and Slim Jim Phantom on drums and vocals. This series of performances is particularly exciting as it marks their return since their last album, *40*, released in 2019. Fans eagerly awaiting their signature rock & roll flair can mark their calendars for this exhilarating event, due to kick off on July 27.

Starting the journey in Bend, Oregon, the Stray Cats will traverse across several notable cities, including Los Angeles—where they’ll play two shows in Costa Mesa—San Diego, and Denver, among others. The tour will wrap up in Bridgeport, Connecticut on August 17. Known for their high-energy live performances, audiences can anticipate a setlist peppered with timeless hits such as “Stray Cat Strut,” “Rock This Town,” “Runaway Boys,” and “(She’s) Sexy + 17.” Accompanying them for this tour are The Midnight Cowgirls, who will serve as the opening act.

As the band embarks on this thrilling tour, fans have the golden opportunity to secure their tickets starting Friday, March 29, with artists’ fan club members getting early access on Wednesday, March 27. Tickets are expected to sell swiftly, echoing the band’s longstanding popularity and the excitement surrounding their return to live performances. The enthusiasm from the band members is palpable, with Brian Setzer emphasizing the camaraderie that fuels their dynamic performances. “Playing together is always spontaneous and confident,” Setzer says, highlighting the unique bond they share.

Moving into the fall, the momentum carries on as the band continues their tour, kicking off another leg on October 25, set to traverse venues like the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, MI, followed by renowned locations such as the Hard Rock Casino in Rockford, IL, and Murat Theatre in Indianapolis, IN. This segment emphasizes their expansive reach, aiming to bring rockabilly delights to geographically diverse audiences. Each venue promises an evening of toe-tapping rhythms and nostalgic trips down memory lane.

Notably, the tour will provide platforms for showcasing hits from their recent albums, ensuring both classic hits and newer material captivate audiences. The Stray Cats are not just performers; they are torchbearers of a timeless music style that combines the raw energy of punk with the undying charm of 1950s rockabilly. Members of the band, with minimal yet effective instrumentation involving just a string bass, guitar, and drums, pride themselves on generating a sound oscillating between spectacularly rumbling and intricately rhythmic.

Lee Rocker captures this succinctly, expressing his delight in rediscovering their unique sound that has, for decades, outshone any need for elaborate setups. “More twang, more shake, more bang,” he remarks, showcasing an eagerness to revitalize the classic sound fans adore. Slim Jim Phantom adds to this sentiment, recalling the unmatched joy of live performance alongside his bandmates, describing it as “the best possible way to spend a summer.”

The atmosphere around the announcement of the Stray Cats’ upcoming tour is brimming with anticipation. For longtime fans, these scheduled performances are more than just concerts; they are opportunities to reconnect with the rhythmic soul and energetic spirit that the Stray Cats have epitomized since their inception. And for newcomers, it’s a grand invitation into a world where the past meets the present in a fusion of electric melodies and unyielding rock & roll charisma.

As ticket sales loom, fans are encouraged to act swiftly to lock in their chance to witness rock & roll history in the making. This tour is set to be a celebration of music, unity, and the undying love the Stray Cats and their fans share for a genre that stands the test of time. Keep an eye out for more announcements, as additional tour dates may offer even more chances to indulge in the band’s electrifying performances.
