Apple Vision Pro is set to revolutionize the viewing experience with its first feature-length immersive video, Bono: Stories of Surrender. Airing on May 30, 2025, this ground-breaking documentary, directed by Andrew Dominik, is a vivid reimagining of Bono’s critically acclaimed one-man show. It's inspired by Bono's 2022 memoir, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, and offers a unique window into the life of U2’s lead singer, revealing intimate stories of his journey as a son, father, husband, activist, and rock star.

Accompanying his personal anecdotes are never-before-seen performances from his Beacon Theatre shows in New York, incorporating iconic U2 songs that have solidified his legacy. What really sets this film apart is its technological integration, marking a significant milestone for Apple’s Vision Pro by employing an 8K resolution with Spatial Audio, ensuring an enthralling 180-degree  video experience.

The documentary is more than a film; it's a continuation of Bono’s life work, his humanitarian efforts, and his passion for storytelling. U2's past collaborations with technology have always pushed for new ways to connect with and expand their audience, from virtual reality concerts to innovative album releases. Here, the integration with Apple's Vision Pro further advances this tradition. The platform's capability to deliver high-quality visual and auditory experiences could redefine how audiences engage with music documentaries and biographical films, creating a platform for deeper emotional connections.

Alongside the film's release, an updated paperback version of Bono’s memoir will hit shelves, featuring a tie-in cover and new introduction. This parallel release strategy aims to enhance the audience's understanding of the insights depicted on-screen, offering a comprehensive exploration of Bono's artistry, beliefs, and personal journey.
