Iconic punk rock bands Dropkick Murphys and Bad Religion have revealed plans for a co-headlining tour across the United States in the summer of 2025. This groundbreaking tour, dubbed the “Summer of Discontent,” marks the first time these two veteran bands will embark on a shared tour together. With their combined decades of influence on the punk scene, this tour is set to capture the attention of punk enthusiasts and concert-goers alike.

The tour will kick off on July 22 in Spokane, Washington, and wrap up on August 17 in Big Flats, New York, with The Mainliners providing support at every stop. With a total of 15 cities on the itinerary, the tour will also visit notable locations such as Reno, Sacramento, Indianapolis, and Cleveland. Fans are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to witness these legendary bands share the stage — a union that promises electrifying performances and unforgettable nights in each city they visit.

Tickets for the “Summer of Discontent” tour are scheduled to go on sale starting February 20, with a presale beginning on February 19. Enthusiasts can grab their tickets primarily through platforms like Ticketmaster and the official websites of both Dropkick Murphys and Bad Religion. Commenting on the tour, Dropkick Murphys' frontman Ken Casey expressed excitement about teaming up with Bad Religion, citing the tour as an opportunity to forge stronger connections with audiences by sharing a stage with such esteemed peers. Similarly, Bad Religion's Greg Graffin emphasized the tour as a chance to foster a unique sense of community and camaraderie among fans and musicians.

Prior to this summer tour, Dropkick Murphys will engage in their annual “St. Patrick's Day Tour,” covering destinations from the end of February through mid-March, culminating in a series of shows in Boston. Furthermore, Bad Religion is set to co-headline the Lucky Punks festival alongside Dead Kennedys in March. These pre-tour activities underscore the band's dynamic presence and relentless energy leading up to the joint tour.

Each band brings a rich history and a powerful catalog to the tour. Dropkick Murphys, described as purveying a unique blend of punk energy with Celtic influences, will showcase favorites from their discography, alongside more contemporary hits, including their single “Sirens.” The song has been noted as a compelling anthem that urges unity against societal challenges. Meanwhile, Bad Religion, whose impact on punk and rock is well-documented via their socially conscious lyrics and influential sound, will journey through a substantial portion of their 17-album repertoire, reaffirming their profound legacy in the music world.

Both bands anticipate the “Summer of Discontent” will not only entertain but also reignite the passionate spirit of punk within the community. The synergy of their musical storytelling and partnership on stage is expected to deliver evenings filled with high energy and impactful moments of connection with fans — a tribute to the enduring legacy of punk music itself. This tour represents a union of artists who are legendary in their own right, promising an authentic experience for those who have followed their journeys over the years.
