Rush's forthcoming box set, titled “Rush 50,” marks a significant milestone in the band’s illustrious career by celebrating their 50th anniversary with a comprehensive anthology. This collection not only underscores the band’s formidable legacy but also promises to thrill longtime fans and new listeners alike. A rich tapestry of Rush's history, the box set includes a staggering 50 tracks that encompass their entire discography, from their very first single to a live rendition of their last performance in 2015. Within this expansive anthology, fans will find a blend of classic hits, lesser-known deep cuts, live performances, and, notably, rarities that fans have long requested.

An exciting highlight of this collection is the inclusion of seven previously unheard live performances. These rare gems provide fans with fresh content to revel in and capture some of the band's most dynamic concert moments. Among these are early recordings such as “Bad Boy” and “Garden Road” from a performance at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland in 1974, and the mesmerizing “Anthem” live from the Electric Lady Studios in New York later that year.

The box set will be available in several configurations to cater to different preferences, including a Super Deluxe Edition that combines both the seven-LP and four-CD sets, complemented by two hardcover books. The books further enrich the collection, with the first featuring essays from notable rock journalists and a wealth of photographs tracing the band's journey. The second book offers a graphic novel, “The Fullness of Time,” depicting conversations between Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, providing a unique narrative of the band's creative process and history. Fans can also appreciate the added visual artistry, as the collection includes 20 lithographs by Hugh Syme, one for each of Rush’s studio albums.

In ensuring that this release is accessible to all fans, the box set will also be offered digitally. All formats are available for pre-order, showing Rush’s commitment to embracing both the nostalgia of physical media and the convenience of the digital age. For those looking for something truly special, an exclusive version of the Super Deluxe Edition is available through Rush's official store, which includes additional artwork and collectibles.
