Original members Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman have reunited under The Guess Who banner for the first time in over two decades, launching an extensive run of Canadian and U.S. dates — with former Eagles guitarist Don Felder along for the ride.

It took a courtroom battle, a bold copyright play, and more than two decades of separation — but the classic-era Guess Who are back together and already proving the wait was worth it.

Original members Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman have officially reunited under The Guess Who name for the “Takin' It Back Tour,” an expansive North American run that stretches from late May through late August 2026. The pair kicked things off with a triumphant return to the stage on January 31 in Niagara Falls, Ontario — their first performance together as The Guess Who in 23 years — and have already played a handful of dates, including a show at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on March 1.

Now, the full scope of the reunion is coming into focus. The tour includes 12 Canadian arena dates and 21 newly announced U.S. amphitheater and arena shows, with former Eagles guitarist Don Felder serving as support on the American leg.

U.S. tickets go on sale Friday, March 6, with presales beginning Wednesday, March 4.

The Road Back

The reunion didn't come easy. In late 2023, Cummings and Bachman filed a lawsuit against former bandmates Jim Kale and Garry Peterson over the rights to tour under The Guess Who name. At the time, a version of the band featuring no original members was actively touring and performing the group's iconic catalog.

Cummings escalated the fight in April 2024 with an unprecedented move: he pulled the performance rights to his songs, effectively making it financially impossible for the unauthorized lineup to continue playing Guess Who material. The gambit worked. By September 2024, the lawsuit was settled, and Cummings and Bachman had reclaimed the trademark.

“We have a plan for 2026 to be the Guess Who,” Bachman told American Songwriter in March 2025. “We do a set list of about 30 hit songs, and it's probably gonna be a two- or three-hour, Springsteen kind of marathonic show.”

First Shows in Over Two Decades

The pair made good on that promise when they hit the stage in Niagara Falls on January 31, 2026. “It's surreal in many ways,” Bachman told Rolling Stone. “Our songs have become the soundtracks to peoples' lives. We look out from the stage and they know every word of them.”

The reunion lineup backing Cummings and Bachman includes drummer Sean Fitzsimons, bassist Jeff Jones, percussionist and vocalist Nick Sinopoli, and guitarists Tim Bovaconti and Joe Augello.
