The 2025 Pollstar Awards celebrated the achievements of some of the most iconic and influential figures in the music industry. The event honored artists who have made significant contributions to the live entertainment scene, showcasing both new talents and seasoned legends. Stevie Nicks, the iconic Fleetwood Mac singer known for her enchanting voice and timeless music, was inducted into the Pollstar Live Hall of Fame. This accolade recognized not only her enduring influence in music but also her recent announcement of a new album, her first in 14 years. Nicks shared that her new work, which she refers to as her “ghost record,” includes seven autobiographical songs crafted during her stay in a hotel due to California fires. Her revelation and continued passion for music have only added to her legendary status, making her induction a fitting tribute to her illustrious career. In addition to her musical ventures, Nicks still commands the stage, evidenced by her participation in recent live shows and her scheduled appearance at the Ohana Festival, which won the Music Festival of the Year award for its category.

Notable honorees included Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Chappell Roan, each recognized for their impactful tours and performances throughout the year. The awards highlighted Taylor Swift's “Eras Tour” as the Major Tour of the Year, reaffirming her dominance in the live music scene and marking her second consecutive win in this category. Billie Eilish also made her mark by winning the Pop Tour of the Year award for her “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour,” which beat out formidable competitors like Charli XCX and Troye Sivan's joint tour, as well as Justin Timberlake and P!NK.

Jelly Roll emerged as a standout figure, winning the Country Tour of the Year award for “The Beautifully Broken Tour.” His success at the awards reflects his rising prominence in the country music sphere. Similarly, Chappell Roan, another emerging artist, won two awards: New Headliner of the Year and Support/Special Guest of the Year. Roan's momentum in the industry is undeniable, and her wins signify a bright future in music. The event also saw John Mayer's side project, Dead & Company, winning Residency of the Year, further underscoring Mayer's versatile talent and his ability to captivate audiences in multiple roles.

A particularly poignant moment of the evening was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously to Gary Kurfirst, for his role in managing legendary rock bands, accepted by his son, Josh Kurfirst. Another emotional highlight was when Larry Solters of Scoop Marketing received the Maxie Solters Award, a touching homage to his daughter, the late beloved Maxie Solters. The Visionary Award went to Steve Ballmer, honored for the marvel that is the Intuit Dome, a testament to technological advancement in entertainment venues.

Environmental consciousness was also on the agenda as the new Billie Eilish Award for Sustainability was introduced. The inaugural award was presented to Mike Sciortino of UBS Arena and Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, recognizing their efforts in promoting sustainability in music venues. This eco-friendly initiative aligns with broader efforts in the music industry to reduce carbon footprints amid global touring challenges.
