According to a recent interview with UltimateClassicRock.com, Foreigner and original singer Lou Gramm are back in the studio working together, polishing and completing unreleased tracks that date to the band’s classic eras. Bassist Jeff Pilson says the team is almost finished with a song from the Head Games sessions and expects Lou to add harmonies soon. There may be as many as five additional cuts from the Agent Provocateur era lined up next.

What’s actually coming

Pilson outlines a concrete pipeline. Two songs from Head Games are being finished, plus up to five from Agent Provocateur. Other unfinished pieces that Lou co-wrote with Mick Jones are also on the list. Pilson’s team is prepping sessions so progress can continue between tour dates. Timelines are not announced yet, but the work is active now.

Why this matters now

The renewed studio activity follows Foreigner’s 4 (Deluxe) campaign, which arrived with a newly completed archival song featuring Lou, “Fool If You Love Him,” along with deep catalog bonuses. That release showed the band is willing to finish high quality material from the vault, which sets the stage for more completions.

How this intersects with the current lineup

Foreigner has begun shows with new frontman Luis Maldonado after Kelly Hansen’s exit, while Gramm continues to appear as a special guest. Pilson’s update suggests the studio collaboration with Lou runs alongside this live transition, keeping the classic voice in the mix for archival tracks that fans have requested for years.

Release outlook

There are no hard dates yet. Pilson says the Head Games track with Lou’s harmonies should be ready to mix once vocals are cut, and several Agent Provocateur pieces are strong candidates to follow. Expect future drops to align with catalog activity and tour momentum.
