Billy Idol has announced Dream Into It, his first studio album in over a decade, set for release on April 25, 2025, via Dark Horse Records. This marks Idol's return since his last album, Kings & Queens of the Underground in 2014. Known for his distinctive style and punk rock roots, Idol's new project is an encapsulation of his journey through decades of evolving music landscapes.

The album's tracklist includes nine songs, with the opening track being the eponymous “Dream Into It.” Notable features include Avril Lavigne on “77,” Alison Mosshart on “John Wayne,” and Joan Jett on “Wildside.” These collaborations not only bring diverse vocal textures to the project but also connect different eras and styles of rock music, reflecting Idol's broad musical influences and his reputation for crossing genre boundaries. The lead single, “Still Dancing,” serves as a robust reintroduction of Idol to both long-time fans and new audiences. This track, positioned as the album's closing number, is accompanied by a music video directed by Steven Sebring, renowned for his Emmy-nominated documentary Patti Smith: Dream of Life.

“Still Dancing” is a reflection of Idol's journey, from his punk rock beginnings amidst London's vibrant music scene to his status as a bonafide rock icon. In the song, Idol recounts his early days, characterized by living out of a plastic bag in squats or friends' apartments, to his current standing. He emphasizes how punk rock opened doors that many said would remain closed, allowing him to pursue his passion with an unyielding belief in his music.

Billy Idol's upcoming tour, dubbed “It's A Nice Day To… Tour Again!”, will further cement the celebration of his new album. Set to kick off on April 30, 2025, in Phoenix, AZ, the tour will see Idol sharing the stage with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts across numerous venues in North America before venturing to the UK and Europe in June. This tour complements the album release, providing fans with an opportunity to experience Idol's dynamic performances live, featuring songs from his broad discography, including new favorites from Dream Into It.
