The inaugural Music City Rodeo is arriving this spring, showcasing an extraordinary blend of music and rodeo culture. Held at the iconic Bridgestone Arena from May 29-31, the three-day extravaganza features headlining performances by country music legends Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, and Jelly Roll. These celebrated artists, who are also founding members of the Music City Rodeo, are bringing their talents to the fore, each taking center stage across the three nights.

Nashville has long been synonymous with country music, yet surprisingly, this marks the city's first time hosting a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) event. This groundbreaking endeavor is a collaboration between Tim McGraw’s media venture Down Home, Skydance Media, and Humes Rodeo, each instrumental in bridging the worlds of country music and professional rodeo. As Tim McGraw remarked, “For eight decades, Nashville’s music stars have been the soundtrack to America’s iconic rodeos. It was time to bring the magic of the rodeo home to Nashville, and I’m thrilled to be bringing it here.”

The Music City Rodeo promises an immersive rodeo experience with seven exciting events daily, highlighting the skills of some of the world's best cowboys and cowgirls. These events range from bull riding to barrel racing and team roping to broncs, with competitors vying for a substantial prize pool exceeding $200,000. Beyond the core events, attendees will be treated to additional family-friendly activities, including mutton bustin’, performances by rodeo clowns, and appearances by Rodeo Queens. The festivities culminate each day with a concert from the headlining artists, amplifying the celebration of rodeo culture with the allure of country music.

Reba McEntire, slated to captivate the audience on the opening night, shared her excitement about returning to her roots. Involvement in rodeo is deeply personal for McEntire, whose family roots trace back to champion steer roping, making the event particularly meaningful. Jelly Roll, too, expresses a personal connection, noting the resemblance of this event to the milestones of Nashville gaining significant sports franchises. This homecoming narrative enriches the event's significance for both performers and fans.

Adding a philanthropic dimension, a portion of the proceeds from the Music City Rodeo will aid Nashville’s Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, supporting its mission in pediatric healthcare and research. This partnership with the hospital enhances the event's community impact, marrying entertainment with charity.

Ticket sales commence on March 7, with opportunities for pre-sale ticket purchases opening on March 5. Fans have a chance to secure VIP packages, ensuring a memorable experience. As the event draws nearer, the fusion of rodeo excitement and country music legacy promises to create lasting memories, etching this festival into Nashville’s storied history. This remarkable integration exemplifies the city's evolving identity, reinforcing its standing as a dynamic cultural hub. Through this landmark event, Nashville not only celebrates its musical heritage but also strengthens community ties and introduces a new chapter in its entertainment repertoire.
