LCD Soundsystem, the renowned electronica band led by James Murphy, has announced an expanded North American tour schedule with a fresh batch of summer tour dates. The tour is part of their ongoing journey that promises to enthrall audiences with their latest musical offerings. These new tour dates see them performing across several key cities including Toronto, Seattle, Milwaukee, Detroit, and beyond, reflecting both the scope of their tour and the dedication to reaching a wide audience.

The tour will commence on August 7 with a special performance at Seattle’s Remlinger Farms and will conclude with a double showing at Toronto’s HISTORY venue on August 22 and 23. Understanding the significance of this tour for the band, the excitement from fans is palpable, especially as they anticipate new music rumored to be part of an album release since their 2017 American Dream. The tour’s announcement has sparked speculation on the introduction of new songs during the performances, and James Murphy himself hinted at the continuation of new releases during a radio premiere in 2024.

TV on the Radio, another acclaimed band, will be an integral part of their performances in Seattle, Bend, Oregon, and the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. This collaboration is likely to draw significant crowds, offering not just music but an immersive experience with the synergy between the two celebrated groups. Among the other special guests scheduled is Pulp, who will join LCD Soundsystem for the closure performances at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on September 25 and 26, lending an extra layer of appeal to these concluding shows.

Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase starting April 18, 2025, with an artist pre-sale commencing two days earlier. The opportunity to witness these performances is heightened by the diverse venues selected, from the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta to Austin’s Emo's. This choice of venues underscores the band’s aim to reach every corner of North America and provide an electrifying live experience.

The tour also aligns with several festival appearances in Europe, notably at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and other high-profile European events. Additionally, LCD Soundsystem has planned an extensive eight-show residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton from June 12 to June 22. This residency emphasizes their continued influence and appeal on an international scale, further preparing fans in North America for what can be expected in the upcoming tour segment.
