Shinedown, known for their conceptual albums, such as 2022's acclaimed Planet Zero, has launched two new singles titled “Three Six Five” and “Dance, Kid, Dance”. This marks the band’s first fresh material in nearly three years and showcases their intent to explore diverse musical directions. Brent Smith, Shinedown’s vocalist, emphasized the creative freedom that guided the process of creating these singles, mentioning a shift from asking ‘why' to ‘why not' in their songwriting methods.

The release of these singles aligns with the band's announcement of their upcoming “Dance, Kid, Dance Tour”. This headlining U.S. tour, set to begin on April 25th, is poised to be their largest U.S. tour, stretching over 35 dates and spanning from coast to coast. The tour features support from genre-spanning acts, including Beartooth and Bush, with Morgan Wade accompanying all shows, bringing a potent blend of musical styles to the audience. Collaborating with Musicians On Call, the band has pledged to donate $1 from each ticket sold to support the healing power of music in healthcare settings.

In the broader context of rock music, Shinedown's tour is set against a landscape filled with grand releases and ambitious tours from other giants of the genre. Bush, known for their enduring hits like “Everything Zen” and “Glycerine”, will join Shinedown in this musical escapade. Bush’s frontman, Gavin Rossdale, who recently introduced a new series, Dinner with Gavin Rossdale, enhances the eclectic line-up with stories and sounds. Beartooth, another guest act on the spring dates of this tour, has fortified their standing in the rock arena with their chart-topping album The Surface. Their addition to the tour lineup promises a night of high-energy and dynamic musical performances.

Morgan Wade complements the tour with her compelling storytelling and unique voice that have earned her recognition across prestigious platforms. Her album, Obsessed, represents her artistic authenticity and connects with audiences on an emotional level, making her an apt choice to open for such a high-caliber tour.

The tour will commence with Citi and Verizon presales, paving the way for a general ticket sale starting January 24, 2025.  With stops at iconic venues such as New York’s Madison Square Garden and Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, the stage is set for an unforgettable experience and a triumphant return to the stage for Shinedown.
