Pop punk icon Avril Lavigne is poised to make a significant impact this summer by debuting at the iconic Warped Tour festival. After a six-year hiatus, the Warped Tour—a pivotal event in the punk and emo music scene—returns for its 30th anniversary, bringing the opportunity for new and veteran fans to enjoy the energetic allure of Lavigne's music at this storied festival. Announced on February 11, 2025, her presence is set to be one of the main attractions at the event, truly marking a notable milestone in her illustrious career.

Lavigne's performances are slated for June 14 and 15th at the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds in Washington, D.C., one of the three major stops in the 2025 Warped Tour lineup. This includes other notable acts like 3OH!3, Of Mice & Men, Bowling for Soup, and Simple Plan, illustrating a robust mix of nostalgic and current punk influences. The Warped Tour will then continue to Long Beach, California, from July 26-27 and culminate in Orlando, Florida, from November 15-16. Fans had a chance to snag tickets early due to the overwhelming excitement, though these were reported to be sold out, underlining the high demand for this year's festivities.

Lavigne expressed her excitement in a statement to Rolling Stone, recounting her own formative experiences with the Warped Tour. The festival, which originally launched in 1995, has been a starting ground for many prominent punk and alternative bands, and it holds a special nostalgic value for music lovers. “So many of the bands I grew up listening to got their start playing this legendary tour,” Lavigne noted, emphasizing the significance of finally being part of this renowned lineup. This performance is especially historic for her, blending her reengagement with the pop-punk sound she helped popularize in the early 2000s.

In preparation for her Warped Tour debut, Lavigne is also set to embark on the second leg of her Greatest Hits Tour. This endeavor highlights her career achievements and further signifies her return to the raw and rebellious tones reminiscent of her earlier work. Her fans, both new and old, eagerly anticipate her performances, which are expected to meld her classic hits with her recent resurgence into punk rock territory. The Warped Tour not only provides her with a platform to showcase her music but also allows her to contribute to the legacy she so deeply cherishes.
