The Foo Fighters will kick off 2026 with a powerful act of charity as the band headlines a special benefit concert in Los Angeles. The one night event is set for January 14, 2026 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, and will also mark Dave Grohl's 57th birthday. The performance is designed to raise money and awareness for homeless and food insecure communities across Los Angeles.

A Concert With a Cause

Proceeds from the show will support two Los Angeles based nonprofits: Hope The Mission and Los Angeles Mission. Both organizations provide essential services such as emergency shelter, meals, job assistance, and long term recovery programs. The Foo Fighters have supported these groups in the past, and the 2026 event is intended to amplify their impact during a time of growing need in the city.

Organizers have positioned the concert not just as a fundraiser but as a hands on community effort. Fans attending the in person pre sale are encouraged to bring essential household items that directly benefit people in crisis.

In Person Only Pre Sale With Donation Requirement

Ticket pre sales will take place in person only at the Kia Forum box office on December 7, 2025, beginning at 12 PM PT. Fans will be allowed to line up starting at 8 AM.

To access the pre sale, attendees must bring at least one of the following new packaged donation items:

  • Socks or underwear in any size for adults or children

  • Bagged dried pinto beans

  • Bagged or boxed pasta

  • Bagged dried rice

Canned goods and perishable foods are not permitted. Each fan may purchase up to four tickets and must use a physical debit or credit card, since cash and digital wallets will not be accepted.

Dave Grohl Speaks on the Benefit

Dave Grohl described the show in typical high energy fashion, calling it both a celebration and a mission driven event. He emphasized that the best way to mark another year of life is to give back and bring people together for a positive purpose. The band hopes the concert serves as a reminder that music can lift spirits while also lifting communities in need.

Beginning of the 2026 Foo Fighters Schedule

The benefit show is expected to act as the unofficial kickoff to the Foo Fighters broader 2026 touring schedule. The band is reportedly planning a full run of North American dates later in the year, positioning the benefit as an early highlight.
