David Gilmour, renowned for his roles as guitarist and vocalist for Pink Floyd, is set to release his latest concert film, *Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome*, alongside the live album *The Luck and Strange Concerts*. These releases, slated for October 17, 2025, encapsulate the essence of Gilmour's 2024 *Luck and Strange* tour, showcasing his unique blend of classic Pink Floyd hits and solo tracks. Directed by Gavin Elder, the concert film offers a captivating portrayal of Gilmour’s performances at the ancient Roman venue, Circus Maximus. The theatrical release will be preceded by screenings in cinemas and IMAX theaters worldwide starting September 17, with tickets available from August 6.

The *Luck and Strange* tour, Gilmour's first major tour since 2016, served not only as a celebration of his new solo work but also as a retrospective of his storied career with Pink Floyd. The setlist featured a mix of tracks from his solo album *Luck and Strange* and timeless Pink Floyd classics such as “Comfortably Numb,” “Wish You Were Here,” and “Time.” These beloved songs retained their original charm while being infused with fresh interpretations that highlight Gilmour's enduring influence in the music scene.

The forthcoming live album *The Luck and Strange Concerts* is available as a 4-LP vinyl box set or a 2-CD set, each accompanied by a 24-page book. The album contains 23 tracks pulled from various performances during the tour. The Blu-ray and DVD editions of *Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome*, will include additional unseen footage, documentaries, and music videos, as well as high-resolution audio mixes in Dolby Atmos, guaranteeing an immersive experience for fans.

Gilmour's preparation for the tour included rehearsals in Brighton, U.K., ensuring a flawless delivery of both new and classic material. The *Luck and Strange Tour Rehearsals*, along with behind-the-scenes documentaries titled *Rain in Rome* and *Backstage at the Royal Albert Hall*, will be part of the rich supplementary content available in these releases.

For the ardent Gilmour fan, a super deluxe edition box set is also being offered, inclusive of all formats—CD, LP, DVD, and Blu-ray—along with a 120-page hardback book featuring photographs by Polly Samson, David Gilmour's wife and frequent collaborator. This edition promises an unparalleled deep dive into the artistic and personal facets of the *Luck and Strange* tour.

The *Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome* concert film not only captures a moment of musical excellence but underscores Gilmour's commitment to blending breathtaking visuals with sonorous music, echoing the grandeur of live performances held at historic locations. This dual release is an homage to a legendary career, offering fans both nostalgia and newness.

Both the concert film and live album serve as a testament to Gilmour's enduring legacy in music. With meticulous production and artistic vision, these releases are bound to become cherished pieces for collectors and music enthusiasts alike. As Gilmour revisits some of Pink Floyd's most revered songs while introducing new material, he reaffirms his stature as an influential figure in rock music, reigningite the magic of live concerts in the contemporary era.
