Eddie Vedder’s EB Charity Premieres New Netflix Documentary

A new documentary chronicling Eddie Vedder’s long-running effort to fund research into epidermolysis bullosa is now available to a global audience.

The film, Matter of Time, began streaming worldwide on Netflix on February 9, 2026, following a festival debut last year. The release marks the widest distribution yet for a project centered on Vedder’s advocacy and the families living with the rare genetic skin disease.

From festival premiere to streaming release

Matter of Time had its world premiere on June 12, 2025, at the Tribeca Festival in New York City. Vedder attended the screening and performed an acoustic set tied to the premiere. Vedder’s involvement began after a close family connection to the disease, and in 2010 he and his wife Jill Vedder co-founded the EB Research Partnership.
