Metallica have added six shows to their upcoming “Life Burns Faster” residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, expanding the run to 14 dates due to what the band described as “unbelievable demand.” The announcement came March 3 via the band’s official social media channels, just days after the initial eight-show residency was revealed on February 25.

The Six New Dates

The newly added shows are:

  • October 8, 2026
  • October 10, 2026
  • November 5, 2026
  • November 7, 2026
  • January 28, 2027
  • January 30, 2027

The January 2027 performances mark Metallica’s first announced concerts of that year.

Complete List of Announced Dates (14 Shows)

October 2026: 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31

November 2026: 5, 7

January 2027: 28, 30

No Repeat Weekend Format

All 14 shows follow Metallica’s “No Repeat Weekend” format, with performances scheduled in Thursday/Saturday pairs. No songs will be repeated between the two shows in each pair. The residency name, “Life Burns Faster,” is drawn from a lyric in the band’s classic track “Master of Puppets.”

Ticket and Presale Details

Fan club presales for the six newly added dates opened March 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT for both Legacy and Fifth Members. Existing presale codes apply to the new dates. A SiriusXM presale for the original eight shows ran March 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. PT using the code SIRIUSXM.

General on-sale for the initial eight dates begins Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster.

Enhanced Experience Packages

The residency also offers enhanced experience tickets and travel packages through Metallica’s Vibee partnership, including meet-and-greets, onstage photo opportunities, the “Black Box Experience,” early venue entry, and access to the “Snake Pit” area near the stage. A “Full House Ticket” grants admission to all of Metallica’s 2026 Sphere performances.

Production and Venue

The residency is produced by Live Nation and presented by inKind. Metallica will perform inside the Sphere’s 16K LED interior screen with the venue’s advanced spatial sound system. Drummer Lars Ulrich said the band is looking to “reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting” at the venue.
