Big Thief Announces Fall 2025 Tour

Big Thief, one of the celebrated acts in the contemporary indie music scene, have made a thrilling announcement they will be on the road this fall for their “Somersault Slide 360 Tour.” This will mark their first major tour across North America since 2023 and their first comprehensive performance circuit in the U.S. following the departure of bassist Max Oleartchik last year. The tour is highly anticipated not only because of its scale but because it follows the band's acclaimed 2022 album, “Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You,” which had previously kept the band busy with international dates. The tour's name intriguingly suggests an adventurous and dynamic slate of performances, akin to the band's groundbreaking music style that has captured audiences worldwide.

The tour kicks off on September 17th at Channel 24 in Sacramento, California, covering a wide geographic range of North America through to its conclusion on November 7th at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, Texas. The itinerary includes significant markets such as Los Angeles, where they are set to perform at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, and New York City, where they will take the stage at the Forest Hills Stadium. This expansive tour includes a total of 20 cities, providing fans from numerous regions the opportunity to witness Big Thief's compelling live performances. Among the cities on their schedule are Boise, Salt Lake City, Berkeley, San Diego, Mexico City, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Dallas, and Austin. Notably, the band will celebrate Halloween this year with a show at the historic Saenger Theatre in New Orleans.

Tickets for the “Somersault Slide 360 Tour” are expected to go on sale on May 9th, and interest is building as fans eagerly await this opportunity to see the band live on a stage near them. Big Thief's tours are known for their raw and authentic live performances, often adding layers of intensity to their already powerful studio recordings. Since their last North American tour, Big Thief members have been actively pursuing solo projects as well, with Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, and James Krivchenia each releasing solo albums.
