Grohl appeared on the stadium video board during the game, and the moment quickly spread across social media platforms. Viewers shared screenshots and clips of the Foo Fighters singer enjoying the matchup, with many interpreting his presence as an opportunity for the NFL to book a rock driven halftime performance in an upcoming year.

On X and Instagram, fans posted messages urging league officials and halftime show producers to consider the Foo Fighters. Several users wrote that the band would be a perfect fit for the event, citing their long track record of high energy stadium performances and a catalog filled with widely recognized hits.

Some fans pointed out that rock bands have been largely absent from recent halftime shows, which have leaned heavily toward pop and hip hop artists. Others said the Foo Fighters’ appeal across multiple generations would make them an ideal choice for one of the most watched live television events each year.

The Foo Fighters remain active in 2026, with touring plans that include large scale venues and festival appearances. Grohl has also remained a visible presence in pop culture, frequently appearing at major sporting and entertainment events.

There has been no official response from the NFL or halftime show organizers regarding fan calls for the Foo Fighters to perform. As with previous fan driven campaigns, there is no indication that Grohl’s appearance at the game was connected to any formal discussions.

Still, the reaction underscores ongoing demand from rock fans for a return to guitar driven halftime performances, and it highlights the Foo Fighters as one of the most frequently mentioned candidates whenever the conversation turns to future Super Bowl headliners.
