Aerosmith is set to make a highly anticipated return to the stage at Steven Tyler’s sixth annual ‘Jam for Janie' Grammy Awards Viewing Party. This event, scheduled for February 2, 2025, at the Hollywood Palladium, marks Aerosmith's first performance since announcing their retirement from touring in 2024 due to Steven Tyler's vocal injury. Aerosmith will reunite, with members Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton confirmed to join Tyler for the performance. The event promises a star-studded lineup, including Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, and Nuno Bettencourt, with Tiffany Haddish serving as the host.

The Jam for Janie event is a cherished tradition organized by Steven Tyler to support his charitable initiative, Janie’s Fund. This foundation aims to assist young women and girls who have endured the trauma of abuse, expanding its focus this year to also include supporting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighter's Fund. This additional support is especially significant following the devastating wildfires that California has recently faced. Over 100 firefighters who have been on the front lines battling these fires are invited to partake in the night's festivities as a gesture of gratitude for their brave service.

One of the most compelling aspects of the event is the reunion of Aerosmith, especially after their abrupt cessation of touring. Despite the uncertainty around their future activities, this appearance affirms Aerosmith's enduring presence in the music world. Bassist Tom Hamilton, in previous statements, noted the collective hope within the band to find other outlets to continue their legacy, despite stepping back from tours. Indeed, this event provides exactly that—a platform to keep Aerosmith’s spirit alive through special performances.

Notably, Tyler's annual Grammy Viewing Party is more than a musical performance; it’s an immersive experience. Attendees will get to enjoy a red carpet entrance, a cocktail reception, a formal dinner, a live auction, and an exclusive after-party. Each element of the night is designed to not only delight and engage the guests but also to maximize support for the causes they aim to fundraise for—mainly benefitting Janie’s Fund and acquiring crucial resources for Los Angeles's firefighting efforts.
