Maren Morris, the acclaimed crossover star known for her impactful presence in both the country and pop music genres, is set to release her fourth full-length album, DREAMSICLE. This release follows her 2022 album, Humble Quest, and marks a significant milestone in her musical journey. DREAMSICLE is scheduled to be released on May 9, 2025, and is anticipated to reflect Morris's personal and professional evolution. Fans can soon experience the first single from the album, “Carry Me Through,” which will be available on March 27.

The forthcoming album is rich with narratives stemming from Morris's life experiences over the past few years. Her announcement comes at a pivotal time, following personal life changes, including her divorce from fellow musician Ryan Hurd, and her public coming out as bisexual. The album is described as a journey through the aftermath of loosening her grip on various aspects of her life, and finding the joy and strength in her true identity.

The 14-track album DREAMSICLE includes the integration of five songs from her 2024 Intermission EP, which features tracks such as “Cut!” with Julia Michaels and “Push Me Over,” exploring the nuances of queer relationships. These pre-released songs were key in bridging Morris's past work with her new material and are a testament to her evolving artistry. Other new tracks include “Lemonade,” “People Still Show Up,” and the album’s titular track, “Dreamsicle,” each aiming to encapsulate a different emotion and story.

Her work showcases her versatility as an artist, having collaborated with superstars such as Zedd, Taylor Swift, and Stevie Nicks. Morris is known for pushing boundaries and addressing themes that resonate with diverse audiences, making her music accessible and powerful on many levels. Beyond her studio work, she has gained admiration for her dynamic stage presence, having headlined tours across multiple continents.

The visuals accompanying DREAMSICLE have already made waves, with Morris sharing snippets and teasers on her social media platforms. In staging the album announcement, she wiped her Instagram to start anew and shared compelling black-and-white videos that built anticipation amongst her fans. The album cover, depicting Morris with a citrus-adorned drink, signifies the zest and new beginning she channels through this body of work.

At age 34, Morris continues to affirm her standing as a formidable presence in the music landscape. Her accolades include a GRAMMY Award, multiple ACM and CMA Awards, and she's celebrated for channeling personal vulnerability into her art. Her journey from the country roots to pop-infused melodies does not stray far from her authentic self, which she prides as remaining at the core of her music.
